The suit completes for Dakar Rally are made by us since 2000. The pioneer was Ivo Kaštan who was racing in this PSi motorcycle clothing for nine seasons. What does pull back these racers? Read the following lines.
Thanks to our own production site where we are specialized in motorcycle clothing since 1990, we are searched out by a plenty of customers who need “something special” and they believe that we will satisfy their requirements. It is the same with Dakar racers. Their requirements are very high. Whole race is running under the hardest climate conditions and across the hard country. Same as the techniques, team and physical condition are very important for them; they also need a safety and comfort of the clothing they wear.

The main requirements they have are maximum mobility, protection against desert sand, simplicity in dressing and wearing, then installation of drinking-water bag, preparation of the collar of cervical protector so called Leatt Brace. And last but not least the individual design and made-to-measure clothing.

Each racer has often an individual wish on the basis of his or her experience with rally. Their ideas are realized for other racers too. For example, a time card was an idea of David Pabiška who says: "A special innovation is a time-card pocket with round openings when I go through the CP (control passage) I needn’t take it out of my pocket and the stamp is put directly on the card through the round openings. It is as quick that I cannot so quickly remove my feet from the foot rests :-)".

The jacket and trousers are solved in consideration of very big difference in the climate conditions. The racers move at temperatures about zero up to over 40 degrees above zero. By that reason we have to keep in mind also a reliable aeration. At extremely low temperatures there is a need of an upper layer in the form of our “coats” that have a great advantage, i.e. they "breath" and also protect you against cold and humidity.

The customized design is necessary for this kind of competitions. You may say that more and more time you spend for preparation graphics than sewing :-). Every team must be clearly identified, It has got his design, colours, sponsor’s logos. The motorcycles, four-wheelers, cars, clothing, everything must match together. It is absolutely important for the safety of racers that the suit is made-to-measure. Although they need a big motion comfort, the clothing may not flap around. Therefore for our PSi HUBIK collection, we maximally use Keprotec, i.e. kevlar stretch from reputable Swiss manufacturer Schoeller®, that perfectly enlaces your body but it does not limit you and it is air-permeable.
