I started racing quite late in year 2004. I was already 26 years old but I got to the elite within International Czech Championship on the circuits very soon.
Since the beginning I was attracted by racings in Hořice in the events of 300 Curves of Gustav Havel. I couldn’t ever think that the Road Racing will be my way in the end and that I would be the first one after Franta Šťastný who brought a Silver Mercure Trophy from the legendary TT Isle Of Man racing.
I am driving for the Czech team, I like Czech things which I am glad to promote and I want to show them worldwide, therefore I keep cordial relations with the PSí company. The quality and applied technologies are at world level and I appreciate it very much. In addition, it is not just “fake” for a production somewhere from Pakistan but they really sew in the Czech republic, for that reason I trust their suit more.
Mostly, I need about two to three suits in a year but I am not a typical liquidator because I cannot afford to fall too often during the Road Racing.
One of them I leave in Ireland, one I use during the racings in the Czech republic and one I take ever as a replacement suit everywhere. When the season is finished I keep them or they are a subject of auctions for different charitable purposes, competitions, etc.
The suit design is made by myself as well as the helmet or motorbike. When I made my first design, I wanted something like “retro“ and flames suggested themselves because the orange colour was a team colour. Well, the first draft was born and we stayed with it several seasons in the end. As a speciality I’d like to point out that my suit is tailor’s made, it is not a standard option at other trademarks but the PSí customers is already used to it.
And the option that really enthused me, was a direct printing on leather; thanks to there was suddenly a range of design options and it was no more needed to sew logos and signs/letterings, therefore the weight of suit is not increased for nothing and the leather is not ruptured by next stitching through.
Since 2017 I was one of racers who was allowed to use a D-Air System in the suit and I am really proud of it and I must thank PSí for this maximum protection.
